Using Proper Torque to Mount Tire Rim

Using Proper Torque to Mount Tire Rim

Tradition tire shop ignores car manufacturer's requirement and use impact wrench to mount rim. Impact wrench is known to scratch the rim surface. It would also apply too much torque on the rim screws and screw treads, causing deformation as well as weaken the screws. After running the car for a long time, and with a few times of such mountings, the condition can only get worse. Then only one emergency stop may loosen or break the screw. The tire and rim will come off causing a serious accident.

Today, all the car manufacturers specify a rim mounting torque figure for each of their car model. Bridgestone Pro Tyre Shop doesn't use impact wrench. For your safety, we only use certified torque wrench to mount the rim according to the safety standard of the car manufacturer.
